Hearts and Laserbeams

About a year ago when I was commuting 40 miles south to Mission Viejo every day to a job that was in a less than positive environment, I started doing Fancy Coffee Friday. Instead of drinking the free coffee at work, I’d detour to the Starbucks on the way to the office, get a medium mocha with no whip cream on top, sigh, and pat myself on the back for making it through another week.

Now, a year later, I’ve kept that little ritual going. Except now I’m doing a job I love with zero commute (except for the occasional drive to L.A. for a meeting), and with the prego-ness I’ve made the temporary switch to Fancy Hot Chocolate Friday. It’s nice that the ritual has a happier tone to it now, a more “YAY it’s the weekend!!!” and less “Good god how am I going to do this again next week” feeling.

aw nuts, it’s been a couple of days since my last post! i’m trying to get back into the swing of writing every day like i used to; sometimes things are so busy it slips my mind!

like these past couple of days – wednesday night was my buddy shannon and i’s last chance to karaoke together before her move next week to denver, colorado! we went to clancy’s in long beach and it. was. awesome!

i’m getting ready for an open house right now because we’re trying to sell our condo, otherwise i’d give you the full and complete rundown of the night’s activities – instead i’ll just tell you that you should click here to see the pics we took!

omg i am awful, it’s already a week into the new year, i’ve been home from vacation for like 3.5 days now, and i STILL have not updated anything on the blog!!

i’ll keep it short and sweet, but the holidays were a blasty! was bequeathed with a spanky new buttonmaker that will greatly expand the amount of stuff i can make for your artsy fartsy enjoyment, keep an eye out for all kinds of new designs soon!

last night was fun – josh and i decided to take jimmy for a walk. thinking ahead of time, hey it’ll be a lark to take him on the long walk down to ocean blvd and along it a bit before circling back, and maybe we should stop at the grocery store on the way back for some margarita mix.

so i just mapquested our whole trip last night and it ended up being a 3.5 mile hike. i just didn’t think we’d actually walked that far. i do know we saw lights on at my sisters upstairs apartment, and yelled up to it for like 3 minutes telling her what a chump she is with no answer. tried calling her cell and she wasn’t even home. way to waste electricity, chump!

and the margaritas were delicious and saturday night live STILL isn’t any good. the end!
