Dear Hiring Director:
I have had the great pleasure of working with Steph Calvert. As Creative Director at CDC Apparel/Workshop Tees, I hired Steph to be part of a rapidly growing business. The job required a designer who had the design skills, creativity and versatility to design for a wide range of customers which included Urban Outfitters, Forever21, Heritage1981, F21 Kids, Delias, Zumiez, Charlotte Russe, Wet Seal, Nordstroms, and contemporary boutiques nationwide.
The second I saw Steph’s portfolio and resume on my desk, I knew she would be the perfect fit. Her style and wealth of experience was exactly what I needed to support and grow a multi-million dollar business. When I interviewed her, her personality and passion for design was icing on the cake to her outstanding portfolio. I got her in the office as soon as I could, we hit the ground running, and saw success immediately.
She is not only creative, but an efficient designer who always knows the best way to tackle a design challenge and adapt the concept to the needs of the project or customer. I could give her any type of project- from illustration, to vector, to patterns, to verbiage- and she is more than capable. And the best part is she will do it with a smile! It is rare to find an employee with such talent and such a positive attitude.
As the job progressed, I made the decision to have Steph telecommute. She works so quickly, and I had no problems working with her this way. In fact, it made my job that much easier because I knew from minute-to-minute exactly which project she was working on. She would always ask the right questions in order to get the job done correctly. I have to be honest and say that I couldn’t imagine working on a telecommute basis with anyone but Steph. It is a rare person to find that takes the their work seriously, and the best interest of the company to heart.
In any work capacity and project, Steph is creative and capable of accomplishing any task. I recommend her for any job, and would be more than happy to speak with you further regarding her work experience.
