Our Art and Design Studio’s Blog
Steph Calvert has blogged for Hearts and Laserbeams since 2002, and talks about art, humor, lifestyle, parenting and more with a fun, optimistic flair. She’s a current blog contributor to Soliel Moon Frye’s website Moonfrye. She also brought indie arts and crafts news to OC Weekly’s website visitors through her “Gettin’ Made” blog posts from 2009-2011.
Most recently, Steph learned a thing or two about search engine optimization and tackled her own blog’s lagging statistics. She has since written an extremely helpful eBook, “Easy SEO for Bloggers”. The book details the steps Steph takes to make each of her Hearts and Laserbeams blog posts search engjne friendly. These steps have rocketed her website from an Alexa score of over 5 million worldwide to one of the top 100,000 websites in the U.S. in under six months.
Where in the World is Hearts and Laserbeams?
Steph Calvert lives in a small town just outside Savannah, Georgia with her hilarious partners in crime, husband Josh, son Phil, and mom-in-law Carole, along with a slew of animals that can best be described as more than a little farmy. She enjoys coloring with her son, karaoke, and a good glass of wine every now and then. (But preferably now, thanks.)
