Show and Tell: MirandAck Arts Logo Design

Remember that 3 hours of free graphic design work I was giving away on the Craftcation Conference blog last month? Time to show off what I created with the winner! When Miranda Ackerley of MirandAck Arts found out she won, we emailed back and forth a bit to discuss what the best use of that time would be.

We ended up deciding to work on an update to her company’s logo design, pictured below:

The original logo just didn’t quite get across the sense of fun Miranda wanted people to associate with her brand, and she is expanding beyond just doing enamel work. The font in the logo design was also a little hard to read. She told me she was into bright colors and outer space, and I went to work! I asked lots of questions about the direction her business was heading and had her go over my Color Inspiration Pinterest board. I love that she was so inspired by this for the color scheme:

Pink Purple and Orange Hair

Next up, I did a lot of logo design sketches, and Miranda provided great feedback! I worked at breakneck speed to keep the time within the three hours of free work she had won, and I’m pretty pleased with the result:

Miranda received logo design files colored up and sized for a variety of purposes, along with a super awesome repeat pattern colored up to match her new logo for a quickie website facelift! I’ll be sure to share that with you in the near future – the site itself is currently a work in progress.

I did another 3 free hours of graphic design work giveaway at Craftcation Conference last weekend; I’m excited to see who I get to work with next!
